Mariesa Marshay King was born on August 15, 1995 to Maple King in Tulsa, OK. She was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at birth with medical professionals not showing much faith in her survival past a baby, Mariesa’s sweet and loving spirit shined on as she continued to grow.
Mariesa surpassed the odds stacked against her and her light continued to shine through the years she was granted. Her smile was catching, and her perseverance was something to admire.
Grandmother Bertha Johnson and great grandmother Mable Johnson as well as great grandparents Lummy and Letory King preceded her in death. Mariesa leaves to cherish her memory, her mother Maple King, her foster/caregiver’s family, Bruce and Delores Benham, Jacqueline Sanchez, Jocelyn Ryan and Jacinda Benham. She also leaves her grandfather Glenn King Sr., a host of aunts and uncles as well as many cousins, family and friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home in Muskogee.
