I was Janie's supervisor at the VA for quite a while. She was an awesomely sweet lady and always willing to help anyone that asked, but when you asked, you better be prepared to take notes and listen. She always wanted people to understand the "how" and the "why" behind their questions and went the extra mile to do the research for the correct answer for them. Janie and I had many conversations over the years and she truly loved her family and friends. She always invited Julie and I to join in on the group lunches at work. Your kindheartedness and caring spirit will be missed but I'm sure it will live on in your family.

I enjoyed working with and getting to know Janie at the VA. She was the simply the sweetest lady... Always kind and smiling. Her absence was felt when she retired. My heart breaks for her family for your loss.

My husband introduced me to Janie at work in 2012. Janie was on his work team and he wanted me to meet her. My husband thought she was a very sweet and helpful person, and had helped him several different times. I was impressed with her gentle, kind, nature. Janie and I talked on many different occasions and became friends and she would eat lunch with our lunch group at different times. Janie was Beautiful on the inside and outside and never spoke bad of anyone. I feel blessed to have known her and saddened that she was taken so soon. You will be missed Janie. Rest in the saviors arms.
Respectfully, Paul and Sheila Wyrick

I was sorry to read Janie's obituary in today's paper. While I hadn't seen her in many years, my family moved in next door to the Sutton family in 1975 on Fairfax St. in Grandview and we graduated together from Muskogee. I would think of her every time I drove thru Stringtown on Highway 69 and remember stopping at her grandmothers home one time when on a car trip with her and her parents. My thoughts and prayers are with Mark and her family, Renee ( Palmer) Fredrick
