Obituary

Lois LaVena Stanfill Hubler “GaGa” was born June 18, 1958 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, the daughter of George Lamon “Buddy” Stanfill and Paula Jack “Jackie” (Hayes) Stanfill. She died, Saturday evening August 8, 2020 at her home in Braggs Oklahoma.

She attended school in Braggs graduating with the class of 1976. She married Joe Sidney Hubler on December 23, 1982 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and together they shared one child, a beautiful daughter, Samantha Jo. While raising her little family in Braggs, Lois worked at Optronics in Muskogee, Oklahoma and eventually moved and retired from Greenleaf State Park in Braggs Ok after 18 years of service. She developed many strong friendships in her working life that she cherished deeply.

A loving rambunctious woman, she spent her entire life making people laugh and was always known for having a good time wherever she was. Her laugh was so contagious and her smile lit up the world. There was nothing she wouldn’t do to help anyone. Lois had a way with words. They may not be what you wanted to hear but they were always flowing. From her kitchen table where she spent a lot of her time she would holler and wave as each of you, her friends and neighbors would drive by honking at her on your daily drive to work or town. She knew who you were and looked forward to your passing each day.

She was a very devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her family and friends were her life. She enjoyed spending most of her time with her grandsons, Jayden and Jase, from attending all of their extracurricular activities and academic endeavors to helping Jayden buy his first car GaGa was always there for them. She was an avid Wildcat Basketball Fan to her boys. She would sit in her same seat each game and often yell “Go Wildcats” to support her alma mater and the teams that she loved dearly. Her baby Jaser will start his senior season this year and she will still be cheering loud for her double 3s from the best seat in the house.

Lois is survived by her daughter Samantha Jo Hubler-King and husband Jay of Braggs, OK, one brother Lamon Dale Stanfill and wife Beverly of Braggs, OK.
Two grandsons Jayden Hubler and Jase King both of Braggs, OK. One niece Tiffany Mackey and husband Clint of Tahlequah, OK. One nephew Dustin Stanfill and wife Holly of Gore, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday August 12, 2020 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home in Muskogee with Rev. Bobby Burris officiating. Interment will follow in South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs under the care and direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Adam Oxtoby, Gavin Dause, Brett Stanfill, Zack Askew, Parker York, Myles Jones and Colten Burk. Honorary pallbearers will be George Chandler, Jerry Chandler, Jeff Chandler, Barry Stanfill, Jesse Goad, Bobby Stanfill, Joe Rambo, Dustin Stanfill, Shane Chandler and Donnie Chandler.

Lois was a dear friend of many years. We shared many fun times together along with her parents camping, fishing, and having cookouts. She will be missed by many. I will miss her. Prayers for Samatha and her sons for peace and comfort.
