Nancy Ann Stanton Lasater was born June 30, 1940 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, the first child of Laymen and Helen Stanton. She died December 27, 2019 in Muskogee. She was 79.

Nancy graduated from Muskogee High School, Bacone College and Northeastern State College at Tahlequah with a degree in Education. Nancy taught school at Porter High School, then worked twenty plus years at Phoenix Federal Saving and Loan. She mentored most of the new hires during her tenure there.
Her favorite position of all was as Office Manager at Broadway Manor in Muskogee. She loved being involved with the residents and made many friends among the residents and staff. She thought so highly of the Broadway family, she chose to live there for her last years. They were some of the happiest years of her life. Nancy was an avid, diligent genealogist and worked in the Genealogy Department of the Muskogee Public Library, first as a volunteer and later as an employee.
Nancy is survived by her two children William Dale Lasater and Laura Smith; a sister, Virginia Copeland and her husband Ben; and many friends at Broadway Manor.
A private family graveside will be held at the Crowder Cemetery in Crowder, Oklahoma under the care and direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee. Viewing will be Monday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
