Everett Leon Coleman was born June 18, 1938 in Parsons, KS the son of Everett Harrison and Alma Rosalee (Hearson) Coleman. He passed from this life on July 31, 2019 in Muskogee. He was 81.

Leon moved with his family to Muskogee in the early 1950’s and he was a 1956 graduate of Central High School. In 1958 he started his training as an apprentice electrician. He was named Top Apprentice for three of the four years he was in training. For several years he worked with his father at Coleman Electric Company. He also worked for many years traveling the country to where the jobs were, with many of those years working with his son Ronny.
On February 24, 1958 he was married to Jenell Hendricks in Stigler, OK. The couple made their home in Muskogee. Leon enjoyed working on cars and hot rods, going to car shows and drag racing. He was also very good at buying old lawn mowers, returning them to almost new condition.
Surviving are his wife Jenell, of the home; two sons, John Coleman (Pam) and Ronald Coleman (Donna) all of Muskogee; one daughter, Amanda Coleman of Muskogee; grandchildren KD Coleman (Terra), Alexis Coleman, Terri Woodworth (Mitch), Jennifer Stell, Tabitha Meech (Kenny), Misty Cumming (Robert), Jess Windrix (Danyfa) and Rachel Adkins (Mika); Numerous great grandchildren and three special friends, Scott Talbert, Harlan Ellis and Harland Seabolt and a special cat (Mack). He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Stephen Coleman and sister and brother-in-law Janet and Donald Huffmaster.
A graveside service will held at 2:00 pm Monday August 5, 2019 at Greenhill Cemetery with Rev. Bill Crow officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home. Viewing will be on Sunday from 1:00 to 8:00 pm.
