Frances loved her family. She worked hard and took care of everyone. After her children were grown, she lost the love of her life, Robert McKenzie.
She bought her a place in the country where she had horses and dogs and treated them like family. She loved having her grandkids out to spend time with her and her horses.
She retired from her longtime job in retail and moved back to town. As time went on, she moved in with her beloved friend, Floyd Cagle. They enjoyed each other’s company and companionship.
As her health began to decline, a loving team consisting of Floyd Cagle, Elizabeth “Cricket” Greuel, (a dear family friend), Frances’ daughter Ruth Bushey, Ruth’s husband Kimm Bushey and daughter, Ashley Bushey took care of her in the home for as long as time would allow.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Ruth Jacobs, her loving husband, Robert J. McKenzie and her loving Grandson Thomas Wayne Bushey.
She is survived by her beloved friend, Floyd Cagle, daughter Ruth Bushey and husband Kimm of Muskogee, three daughters and three sons, numerous nieces and nephews, Granddaughter, Ashley Bushey and husband Kelly Reynolds of Muskogee, numerous other grand-children and great-grand-children.
A tribute to Frances’ life will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 10:00 am at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home where she has been placed in loving care.
Interment will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Michael Bantaa, Lin Cope, Kelly Reynolds, Damon Wheat and James Wilson serving as Pallbearers.
