Shirley Val Rogers longtime Muskogee resident was born April 10, 1928 in Muskogee. She was the daughter of Frank Leslie and Birdie Rudellia (Wilson) Seaman, She passed from this life on February 22, 2019 In Tulsa. She was 90 years of age.

Shirley was raised in Muskogee and graduated from Muskogee Central High School in 1946. On March 28, 1948 she was married to J.B. Rogers at Trinity Methodist Church in Muskogee The couple made their home in Muskogee. Shirley was a realtor with Reynolds Realty for many years. She was a member of several organizations and clubs including the Oklahoma Historical Society, member and retired board member of Three Rivers Museum, Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame (volunteer), Muskogee Garden Club, the National Association of Retired & Veteran Railway Employees (NARVRE), The Old Bridge Club and The Maj Girls her (Mah-Jongg Club). In addition she was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church and retired member of the National Association of Realtors.
Survivors include her children, Valerie Carter of Tulsa, Dudley Rogers and wife Paula of Muskogee and Joe Rogers of Kansas City; seven grandchildren, Jason Carter and wife India, Travis Carter, John Rogers, Katherine Schmidt and husband Josh, Christopher Rogers, Joseph Rogers and wife Meghan and Preston Rogers and wife Kay; five great grandchildren; Grant Carter, Peyton Carter, Chloe Carter, Margaret Rogers, Penelope Rogers and Preston Rogers Jr.; and a daughter in law Suzanne Hopkins Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her Husband J.B., her parents and one son Cliff Rogers.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday March 2, 2019 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home in Muskogee with Warren Danskin officiating. A private family interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Three Rivers Museum where Shirley was a founding board member.
