Lola Marjorie (Miles) Makinster, age 92, formerly of Fort Gibson died Tuesday, January 22, 2019, in Honokaa, Hawaii. She was born April 5, 1926, in Independence, Kansas to Percy and Glenna May (Smith) Miles.

Mrs. Makinster married George W. Makinster in April 19, 1948, in San Diego, California. Lola was a homemaker and a wonderful Mother to her four beautiful children that kept her on her toes. She was the kind of mother that truly loved her children unconditionally. We were blessed to have been chosen to be her children. Our Mom will truly be missed.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years; two brothers, Bill and Joe Miles; and four brothers-in-law, Don Todd, Marvin Smith, Richard Smallwood and Milton Brooks.
Left to cherish her memories, two daughters and sons-in-law, Myrna and Mitch Green of Honokaa, Hawaii and Mary and Marshall McClatchey of Clarksville, Arkansas; two sons and a daughter-in-law, George Makinster of Oregon and Clifford and Kim Makinster of Farmington, Missouri; two granddaughters and their spouses, Kiara and Bryan Ford of Diamond City, Arkansas and Karri (McClatchey) and Vincent Thiel of Russellville, Arkansas; a great-granddaughter, Sadie Ford; four sisters and a brother-in-law, June Smith of Texas, LaDonna and Bob Smith of Arkansas, Glenna Todd of Missouri and Mary Brooks of Oklahoma; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, February 4, 2019, at the Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Gibson. Burial will be in Fort Gibson National Cemetery and under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mitch Green, Marshall McClatchey, Vincent Thiel, and Bob Smith.
